b'STEM Endorsement Program Class Descriptions and Candidate Requirements This three-course series required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission to earn the STEM Endorsement. The series consists of three courses 1) Structuring Your STEM Journey, 2) Empowering Students in STEM and 3) Clinical Connections in STEM. The program consists of a total of 50 hours of instruction. Admission to the program requires the recommendation of candidates by school and system administrators. Candidates must be approved for admission beforebeing eligible to register for the first course. The STEM Endorsement courses are conducted in a cohort format and will be offered several times each year. Candidates will be required to complete the endorsement program only in the sequence listed above.Click here for additional information on the STEM Endorsement Program of Study. Eligibility requirements include documentation of the following: oA minimum of one full year of successful teaching experience; oA valid Georgia teaching certificate Level 4 or higher oA full-time contracted position oRecommendations from the school principal or district leader. AttendancePolicy A strict, non-negotiable attendance policy will be enforced for each of the three courses in the STEM Endorsement program. Candidates will be expected to attend all class meetings in their entirety. No credit may be awarded to candidates who miss more than 10% of class time in any of the three courses.Program Application Interested applicants should first download and complete additional documents found below and then complete the Electronic Endorsement Application.
