~ 15 3rd Grade Math in Action: From Standards to Classroom Practice Target Audience: 3rd Grade Teachers This course is designed specifically for 3rd grade teachers who want to strengthen mathematical foundations through intentional, standards-aligned instruction. Participants will unpack the 3rd grade mathematics standards, explore the research behind early numeracy and fluency development, and engage in evidence-based instructional practices. Teachers will practice implementing formative assessment strategies and task-based assessments, including 3-Act Tasks, Three Reads, and Number Talks. Together, we will examine effective fluency- building strategies that develop conceptual understanding—not just speed. Participants will leave with a practical instructional toolbox filled with ready- to-use strategies, tasks, and assessment approaches that can be implemented immediately in the classroom.
