This module deepens participants’ 
understanding of how intentional vocabulary 
instruction supports reading comprehension and 
academic success. Aligned to Georgia’s ELA 
standards and Structured Literacy practices, 
participants will explore research-based 
strategies for teaching word meaning, academic 
language, and concept development. Through 
hands-on activities, discussion, and guided 
application, paraprofessionals will learn how to 
support vocabulary development across 
instructional settings. Participants will leave with 
practical tools and strategies to strengthen word 
learning and support language growth for all 
students.
